Project Phrolova – A heartfelt collaboration
Today I want to take a little moment to share my newest project — but more importantly, to shine a light on a few incredibly talented people without whom this doll wouldn’t exist at all. Honestly, I didn’t even play the biggest role myself — you could say I gathered a small team of superheroes to make it happen. 🦸♀️💫
The idea behind Phrolova
This project revolves around my new Dollfie Dream, inspired by Phrolova from Wuthering Waves.
Since her original character has a very unique eye shape (and that detail mattered a lot to me), I quickly realized this was beyond what I could do on my own. I needed someone whose skill and style I could fully trust.
And honestly, I immediately knew who to ask.
To my great luck (and I’m still endlessly thankful), my first choice said yes: @shirayuri_dolls.
Right from the start, I could perfectly imagine her style bringing this project to life.

The head & face-up
The base was a DDH09 head, and the full transformation — from modding to face-up — was done by @shirayuri_dolls.
Besides the stunning paintwork, her sculpting and modifications turned out exactly as I’d hoped, staying true to the original design while adding her own magic touch.
Working with her was an absolute joy — great communication, quick responses, and genuine care all throughout. I always felt Phrolova was in the best hands possible. That’s exactly what you hope for when commissioning a face-up artist!
The result exceeded all expectations: every little detail is perfect, and her style captures the character beautifully.
Honestly, Shirayuri deserves so much more recognition for her work. 💕

The eyes – tiny works of art
For the eyes, I reached out to the wonderful @yura.s.collection, who collaborates with @natrume.
Communication with Yura was fantastic — super kind, helpful, and patient, especially when I was unsure about the right size she helped me with her expertise!
And what can I say? The eyes turned out perfect! ✨
From first sketch to final version, everything went so smoothly and quickly — I couldn’t be happier.
The ordering and coordination which Yura did for me with Natrume were also completely effortless. I’m just so in love with how everything came together! 💙
A small light in darker times
Since I’ve been going through a bit of a rough patch lately, this project meant a lot more to me than I expected.
The kind communication with these amazing people — and the joy of finally seeing the finished head — gave me so much motivation and comfort. I couldn’t wait to take the first photos! 📸
Phrolova isn’t completely finished yet — she’ll get a more fitting wig and maybe even her original outfit (still in discussion). Yet this wonderful Outfit from Orione is perfect for her too!
But even now, she already feels complete to me. The outfit would just be the little cherry on top — no rush at all. 🍒
Final thoughts
This project was more than just adding a new face to my collection — it reminded me how inspiring and heartwarming collaboration can be. I’m deeply grateful to everyone involved.

💡 A little guide for commissions
If you’re thinking about commissioning a head yourself, here are a few tips based on my experience:
- Make sure to clearly discuss what you have in mind — whether it’s a precise concept or just a rough idea.
- Give your artist plenty of time — life happens, and it’s always better without a strict deadline.
- If possible, avoid setting a fixed timeframe. It keeps things stress-free for both sides.
- And sometimes, your head might even be finished faster than expected! 😉
As the saying goes: good things take time — and that couldn’t be more true here.
